The World Tomorrow is an interview television series on RT written and hosted by Internet activist and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Assange will interview “political players, thinkers and revolutionaries”. The show will be filmed atEllingham Hall in Norfolk where Assange is being held under house arrest as he awaits a ruling on his extradition to Sweden on charges of sexual assault.

Assange, who attracted controversy after WikiLeaks leaked thousands of United States diplomatic cables in 2011, has styled himself as a defender of truth and freedom. RT, a Russian-government-controlled broadcaster, said that they are offering Assange a platform as part of the network’s appeal audiences averse to mainstream news organisations. Assange’s decision to partner with RT has been strongly criticised by the Western media which questions the network’s impartiality.

The show will premiere in March 2012 and will run for 10 weekly half-hour episodes.
